Truganina South Primary School is fortunate to be one of only 5 schools in the Wyndham area to have a Community Hub, which is part of the Community Hubs Australia network. It is a welcoming and inclusive space in our school, where parents and carers can come to connect, share and learn. Our programs provide parents and families to connect each other and the school, participate in activities, link with support services, or just come in for a tea or coffee and a chat.

The Community Hub has a strong focus on providing programs and services to migrant and refugee women and their young children. We do this by providing:

• Conversational English classes
• Multicultural playgroups for 0-4 year olds
• School Paediatric Outreach Clinic
• Women’s craft and cooking groups
• Parent information sessions
• Toy Library
• Food Pantry and hampers
• Second-hand uniform shop
• Volunteering opportunities
• Service referrals

These programs give participants the opportunity to learn, participate, share and grow in a supported and friendly environment.  All the Hub activities are aimed to support our school parents, grandparents, carers and any other family members within our school and local community. All activities are offered free of charge.
